In the mountain area of Banat there are numerous places that seem to come from stories, and one of them is Ostrov Island. In a busy world, all you want is to reach a quiet area, far from the bustle of big cities. Ostrov Island is appreciated because the wild natural setting has been preserved here. It is the habitat of over 100 wild horses, which can often be seen grazing.

Visiting a cave can be a very interesting activity to enjoy in the autumn months. Our suggestion today is Comarnic Cave, among the most beautiful such tourist attractions in our country. With a length of about 6,200 metres, it is in the Anina Mountains, in Caraș-Severin County.

It is worth knowing that to reach this sight you have to take a route through the forest. A very good idea in the autumn season, when the multicoloured carpet of leaves will impress you with its diversity. The cave is presented by a guide, and over the 2 hours you will be captivated by its beauty.

4. The Oravița - Anina railway

Did you know that this is the oldest railway line still existing in south-eastern Europe? The mountain railway crosses the most beautiful places in Banat, and was put into service as early as 1869. Over the 33 km you will hear the sound of the wheels and be able to admire nature in all its splendour. For 2 hours you will forget technology and use your phone only to capture a few unique shots.

So the western part of Romania is very beautiful. Banat tourism surprises even the most demanding visitors. Whether or not you have been to this part of the country, a new holiday in the west is an excellent idea for this time of year, when the spectacle of nature is in full swing.
